DADA EXHIBITION

NOW OPEN at Center for Persecuted Arts and running until 13 September: “Unlock your heads at last!” Dada as political art between the wars, curated by yours truly.

To mark its 110th anniversary, “Unlock your heads at last!” celebrates the Dada art movement and highlights the relevance of its political commitment today.
Featuring works by Johannes Baader, Hugo Ball, Erwin Blumenfeld, Paul Citroen, Otto Dix, Otto Griebel, George Grosz, John Heartfield, Marta Hegemann, Emmy Hennings, Hannah Höch, Heinrich Hoerle, Richard Huelsenbeck, Franz Jung, Walter Mehring, Rudolf Schlichter, Kurt Schwitters, Sophie Taeuber-Arp, and others.
I am showing Simon Wachsmuth’s video From Heaven High, 2025, as a contemporary intervention.
